A photoshoot that FEELS like your Sunday morning.

These sessions usually go slower than my normal family photos as we want you to slow down, embrace the morning and create organic moments (once you forget about the camera).

They’ll be done in your home, because this is the place that holds the most memories and although you feel like its not pretty enough, too messy and you don’t love it, maybe its a rental but your focusing on the wrong areas – those walls are your Childs safety zone, its where they feel loved, safe and happy and of course where they feel most themselves, whether that’s cheeky too!

Do you still remember your childhood room? What did you love about it?

I loved my purple theme, cutting photos out of dolly magazine and sticking them on my doors with blu tac. My first TV that had no remote – my locked voice control diaries and the old stereo cd player that would blare so fresh. My doonas ranged from Peter rabbit, groovy girl, tweety bird and I even had valance (is that what it’s called?) So I could hide all my mess under my bed and it looked clean.

These shoots are to record (artfully) your life, the routines, the things that make your kids smile, their artwork, hot chocolates, messy egg cracks and all. So prepare some pancakes, let them greet me in their PJS and we will spend some time to get ready, do some activities and capture the moments that you probably won’t get to repeat next year because they’ve already changed and grown.

And of course, your animals are your family too. Maybe you take them for morning walks and bike rides? Why don’t we go for a walk around the block? Get the skate boards out? Motorbikes? Guitars?

By the end of the shoot, we’ll of spent some quality time together and I’ll be leaving with a huge editing pile and you’ll be left with kids who are filled with loved, probably on a sugar high and feeling so lucky they got to spend their morning with mum & dad and no distractions.
